One email per week.
Four steps before it hits your inbox.

Here’s exactly what happens between us and your tracked competitors during the week, and what ends up in front of you when the next report arrives.

// 01
Step 1 · Onboarding

We find your real competitors.

Not the national franchise five miles away. Not the place that serves a different income band. The local businesses actually pulling from your customer pool. We start with geography, match on service mix and price point, and send you the list before we start tracking. You get final say — swap any of them if our match is off.

Step 2 · Daily watching

We watch them every day.

Their websites, Google Business Profiles, Instagram, Yelp, Facebook, licensing boards, and any public pricing pages. Daily snapshots, compared against the prior week’s snapshot. We don’t log into anything we shouldn’t. We don’t pull anything that isn’t public. This is the boring, patient part. It’s the part nobody else actually does.

Step 3 · End-of-week review

We catch what actually changed.

Most “changes” are noise. A new Instagram reel isn’t a move. A price card update is. A new staff member on the team page is. A run of one-star reviews is. We sort signal from noise, rank by real-world impact, and write a draft. Brian reviews and edits it before it goes out.

Step 4 · Report arrives

You read it with your coffee.

Your weekly competitive intelligence arrives as a plain email. About a six-minute read. Three sections: what changed, where you stand, and three specific moves to consider this week. Written in plain language by someone who’s actually run a business.

Things business owners ask before signing up.

How do you pick my competitors?

Geography first — typically a 3- to 10-mile radius depending on how people actually travel for your service. Then we match on service mix and price band. We send you the list before tracking starts, and you can swap any of them. Onboarding takes about four days.

Can I override the competitors you pick?

Yes. Every one of them. We default to matching on service and geography, but you know your market. If you think the place six blocks away is actually your main competitor because of how referrals flow, tell us and we’ll track them instead.

How is this different from Google Alerts or Birdeye?

Google Alerts tells you when a competitor’s name shows up on the internet — mostly press releases and spam. Birdeye shows you review aggregation, which is one of the things we watch. Neither one tells you “they raised their prices on Thursday and rolled out a discount on Friday — here’s what we’d do about it.” That’s the gap we fill.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The entire product is an email. No dashboards, no logins, no browser extensions, no mobile app. If you can read an email, you have the full product.

Is my data shared with other subscribers?

No. Each subscriber’s report is built from public information about their competitors — we don’t ask you for customer lists, pricing, or internal numbers, and we don’t share anything across accounts. Your name only appears in our own subscriber records.

What if my competitors subscribe too?

They’d see reports about their competitors, and you’d see reports about yours. The two reports would contain different information. If two subscribers happen to track each other, the system handles that without exposing either one’s subscription.

How much human review goes into each report?

Every report. Brian personally reviews the draft of every weekly email before it goes out during the first 12 months of each industry launch. Software handles the watching and drafting. A real person signs off on the recommendations.

What if I cancel?

You cancel. We stop sending. We hold your email address for 30 days in case you want to come back, then delete everything except what we need for tax records. There is no contract, no cancellation fee, and no “retention specialist” who will call you.

Will there be a phone call or demo I need to sit through?

Not unless you want one. The whole process is: you read the site, you read a sample report, you decide, you sign up. Brian will reply to any email you send him, but we don’t schedule demos, discovery calls, or “quick intro chats.”

What industries does this work for?

Any local service business where a handful of local competitors matter more than national chains. Med spas, dental, veterinary, boutique fitness, HVAC, home services, specialty retail, private-practice healthcare. We’re launching one industry at a time so the reports are sharp. Tell us where to go next.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is sent in response to your waitlist signup or a direct email to Brian. We’re intentionally not listing it on the site — founding-member pricing is different from standard pricing, and we’d rather walk through which applies to you before sending numbers.
